Guidelines for Visiting the Church
Dear brothers and sisters, dear guests of our church!
We warmly welcome everyone who crosses the threshold of our church, whether you are visiting us for the first time or have been here before. We hope that your visit will bring you peace and spiritual comfort. With love and care for each of you, we would like to share a few simple guidelines.
If you have the time and are interested, before your first visit you may read about the traditional rules of Orthodox Christian reverence. There you will find answers to many questions that visitors often ask.
We kindly ask you to come dressed modestly and neatly, with your shoulders and legs covered. This is not a strict requirement, but a long-standing tradition expressing respect for this holy place.
If you would like to take photographs to capture a special moment, we would be grateful if you would first quietly ask the parish priest for his blessing.
And, of course, if you have any questions — about Orthodox traditions, how to behave during a church service, or anything else — Father Gennady will always be happy to explain and help. His contact details can be found on the «Contact Information» page.
With love in the Lord and care for each of you,
the parish of Saint John the Apostle and Evangelist in Ostend.
