Guidelines for Visiting the Church
Dear brothers and sisters, dear guests of our church!
We warmly welcome everyone who crosses the threshold of our church, whether you are visiting for the first time or have been with us before. We hope your visit will bring you peace and spiritual comfort. With love and care for each of you, we would like to share a few simple guidelines.
If you have the time and interest, before your first visit you may wish to read the
traditional guidelines of Orthodox Christian reverence. There you will find answers to many of the questions visitors often ask.
We kindly ask you to come dressed modestly and neatly, with your shoulders and legs covered. This is not a strict requirement, but a long-standing tradition of showing respect for this holy place.
If you would like to take photographs to preserve a special moment, we would be grateful if you could first quietly ask the parish priest for his blessing.
And of course, if you have any questions—about Orthodox traditions, how to conduct yourself during the service, or anything else—Father Gennadiy will always be happy to explain and help. You can find his contact details on the
"Contact Information" page.
With love in the Lord and care for each of you,
Parish of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in Ostend
